Still More Borrego Springs

Today we made the last "move" from one campsite to another.  Now set once again for 7 days - the last of our reserved time here in the State Park.  We may extend here or go out to the BLM land and boondock for a few days just do it because it's allowed here.  For those of you who may not know what that means, it's Goverment owned land that is available for free to use for camping.  Obviously, no water, electricity, dump station, or trash service - but it's free and open and no restrictions (dogs can go anywhere we go).

But nothing really new.  We are enjoying the weather and being kind of "laid-back".  Reading, walking, eating, and wondering how the days pass so fast.  The dogs do not like the hot weather and are unwilling to leave the shade.  As soon as the sun sets (about 4:30pm here) they are agreeable to a walk, but otherwise we have to pull them around the campground to even get them out to pee.

Now that we are set for another week, we will get out and do some more "off-roading" or "dirt-roading" in the car to see more of the park.  Most of what there is to see is from dirt roads.  So no new pictures tonight.  Tomorrow we need to drive 90 minutes one way to get to a grocery store of any quality but it's necessary as we are here another 7 days (or more ??).  Borrego Springs is a very nice town, but lacking in a good supermarket.  We plan to visit a few new sites on the way and hope to have something new to share.

Loving Southern California,

Ellen, Jim, and "the girls"
