It's Wednesday the 9th of March and we are in the foothills area of Texas in Pedernales FallsState Park just west of Austin. Here for two nights but need to be out by Friday because the park is full for Spring Break week beginning this Friday. Not a problem as we were heading for Padre Island National Seashore anywhy. But, now we are not so sure we'll be able to get in there "because of Spring Break".
Stopped here for no other reason than to be near Driftwood, Tx for a world famous Texas Bar-B-Que restaurant called "The Salt Lick". We'll go there tomorrow. More about that if we get there.
Spent last night in Fort Stockton, TX after a 500 mile drive. Just in an RV park off the Interstate. Nothing to write about other than they have a little restaurant on site we visited for catfish, cole slaw, green beans, mashed potatoes, and Texas wine. Yee-Haw!
The best weather we found last winter was in the desert of Southern California at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. We're going back!
